Most Estes terminals want 1 year of clean experience. Depends on how bad they need drivers.

My brother works for estes, it is a good company. I drive for saia, and they are a better company, from a pay and benefit standpoint, anyway.

I was told that Estes wanted 3 years experience--but I know of a few that have been hired to work the dock and eventually worked their way into a system driver after about a year. SAIA required 1 year prior driving experience with the same company before consideration.

SAIA tops out after 18 months and tops out at .02/mile more than Estes, but the Health Insurance is half of what Estes charges it's drivers to cover a family.

Both companies are a good choice.

    :?:

    Well sure.

    Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
    Drive the truck.
Sleep in the berth (most of the time).

How is that different from anywhere else?[/b]

It seems to be a one sided discussion from people that are not happy. (Some people, of course, never will be)
