    Default ?? for TMC drivers....

My husband currently drives for Arrow and is training for arrow. BUT freight seems to have taken a total sh*t  . Anyway he drove for TMC back in 2000 and has called and talked to Dennis about coming back.

Does anyone know what trainer pay is now for TMC?? He has been approved to come back as a trainer :P .

also is the freight there to run?? Do you have to sit for 24+ hours waiting on a load??

We live in Tulsa so hometime should be easy.

    Thanks

Trainer pay at TMC is $75 per week in addition to the percentage pay. Some sort of bonus if the trainee is still with TMC in six months.

freight is slow everywhere. as for trainer pay, last i heard it was about $70 a week give or take a little. i accepted a load this morning going to pittsburg, ks heading past t-town. getting home should not be a problem.

The reason he left TMC was his EX wife....she wanted him home.

Yes, I know freight is slow this time of year. DH has been with Arrow for 3 years (on and off) but this is nuts....he is sitting in S CA with about 25 trucks in front of him and one has been there since Thursday!! He empied out Sunday afternoon. Looks like no load till wed at least.

He always talks highly about TMC and I know he misses working there.

the trainer pay is 70.00 week with Arrow too.

The bonus is $250 if the trainee is still with TMC after 6 months and an additonal $500 is the trainee has a clean record over those 6 months.

The trainer has to act as a trainer for the first 4 weeks. The last two weeks of training can be shifted to team driving in the trainer feels the student is up to par. This prepares the student for the transfer to solo driving.
I'm not nearly as think as you confused I am!

The reason freight might be slow for companies is that alot of companies are notorious for meeting appointment times, after a few of those, the shipper is using that freight company less and less.
Everything I need to know about driving a truck I learned from watching "DUEL"

If you are hinting around about Arrow missing appt times....Your right BUT DH has NEVER been late. But he is one driver out of God knows how many that make it on time.

Arrow is having some real issues right now with freight. I know the on-time thing is a big part of it. they started this new point system for being on time and all, but the funny part is you get penilized (sp?) for being late but there is NO incentive for being on time.

He is just trying to get back to Tulsa so he can turn in the truck and go to TMC on the 27th of Nov.

OMG...I have not heard that one yet....Man there will be alot of UPSET drivers at arrow if that happens!! They may have to actually take baths and WORK!!

I hope it is true...but I really dont think so.

I know that Doug (whats his name) is running the show right now and it really sucks.

Arrow has taken away all the mileage incentives
    Freight SUCKS
they have had ALOT of roll overs lately
i heard there was a fatatility in Conn. Not sure how true that is...A family was supposed to be killed...

If you are a lease driver and you want to go company you START ALL OVER again!! You dont get any of your time or miles you got as a lease driver.....

TMC has to be better than this...

well one good thing is we dont do the flease purchase. one can buy the TMC trucks through a separate company entity and lease on as an OO. but TMC/AHI has a history of getting companies that are in trouble, financially or otherwise and putting the shinny, reflective stickers on the doors. and they have terminals and freight in places that we dont, so their contracts are lucritive. a perfect example was the PFT fiascal. i have seen arrow doing a lot of heavy haul out of the port of catoosa.
