to work for WERNER or USXPRESS or ???
Neither. If you have your CDL through a PTDI certified, look elsewhere, first.
I agree 100%, a new driver should not limit there self do alot of research about other companies before you commit yourself, broaden your horizen's so to speak. good luckNeither. If you have your CDL through a PTDI certified, look elsewhere, first.
go with the flow..........or just don't go nuff said
I agree with the rest! BUT, if you are just choosing between the two I would go with US Xpress. They are the lesser of the two evils.
CFI or Roehl? hmmmmmmmm?![]()

i have worked for both and left
they are perfect to get your year in
thats it
with werner you will train for 6-8 weeks then go solo
and average 2300 a week
in a stick shift with an auto 8-9 speed at 26-27 a mile
do not get per deim its not worth it because you will never get 2800 a week with either company
i di my month 8-14 with usx
an auto shift columbia
2200 miles a week and a split pay scale 30/33/37
your training will be 21 days with you in the driver seat from day 1 since its an auto shift
do either one to get a year or more then try may trucking or crete
my werner trainer went to may due to a 3 yr old serious accident on his dac
i am at crete
he has 3years more driving experience and makes 35 a mile
i make 41
your 1st year is an apprentice pay year
accept it
low pay bad miles etc
the advantage to usx is their road breakdown 10-30 min contact time
is 5 times better then werner at 3hrs to get thru
like what happened to me in chicago
and their dispatch though lousy is 3 times better then night and weekend dispatch at werner
their trailers are in better shape too
at werner you need a 4 pound hammer and a vise grips just to pull out
the release lever and secure it
so the pins stay retracted
isnt werner paperless logs? ive been with usx for over 3 years now and lately its been going to crap out here lol.
ya werner has paperless logs
i still know how to cheat it
i legally ran 716 miles in 10.5 hours on line 3
on a werner electronic log
2 different times
it requires 8 line 1 breaks
that you start driving at the 9-10 min point on the line 1 break
ie 5 min driven on line 1 legally by dot rules
8 times is 40 min
as for useless going to crap
no lie, i left in march and went to crete
immediate raise to 38 a mile on all runs
no split rate
now at 41
practical miles paid
2700 average a week
no stacy powell or dale steward lies from x d division
or and guys i did force usless to pay me the money they owed me
i spent 5 hours talking to the feds
and they inspired the state of tenn dept of labor to force useless express to pay me
finally since max increased his ownership in arnold trucking
i am sure you are getting the shaft
im getting the shaft??? you mean they are going to fire me soon??? awww bummer lol.
no by the shaft i mean
2300 avg miles a week at rand mcnally rates not practical rates
most runs under 500 miles
ie more line 4 lost time and 2-3hrs live unload with no detention pay
one week i had 4 live load and unload 500 mile runs
it ate 6 days up when combined with 1-3hr waits for next load
due to the inexperienced dispatchers
not preplanning
this is what i mean by getting the shaft
ohhhhhhhhhh, thats what u mean by getting the shaft, well like i posted before ive been here over 3 years and been getting the shaft ever since lmao.also, wtf is line 4??? you mean that line where it usually adds up to 15 minutes everyday lmao!!!thanks for your advice.
15 min vi and fuel if your lucky and sleep at the pilot they assign you
or cough up the 15 buck complience fee
or 15 min vi / 15 min fuel
15 min load / 15 min unload
all in 1 day is an hour unpaid
i averaged 4-6 hrs a week out of the 70
