I thought I would try this and see what happened. Can you recommend a company that provides all training and starts paying you a pay check at 3 weeks or better?

flatbed, van, reefer. Does it matter?

No does no matter. Im not going to be picky.
Maverick. They do flatbed.
You need to be...very picky, lest you become someone's victim and end up totally disillusioned with the job and the industry.Originally Posted by dk132
That being said.... CFI hires student drivers, but does not foot the bill entirely for the schooling. They will at certain schools pay the bulk of the cost and you are not bound to a contract (I repeat: NO CONTRACT) If you are interested in finding out about this program, contact Christine at 800-641-4748, extension 5718, or clathan@cfi-us.com
You can do some searches here on this site that will give you alot of information about CFI, and how they pay, and the impressions of others as well. You can also come over to http://www.cfidrivers.com and log on and ask any questions that you might have. Also, there is a map there that outlines the hiring area.
CFI is a 48 state and Canada irregular route carrier. We pull 53' dryvans.
The company pays on practical mileage, not HHG short miles. Equipment is top notch, maintenance is top notch, company is top notch, and you will make a good living there.
If you have ny questions....feel free to ask her or via email.

Check TMC out I read alot of good stuff about them also, they are flatbed too.
SMB are you a stalker lol. You keep following me on my posts
I know I feel like one sometimes lolYou know just trying to spread the good word like others done for me, about a good company.
I know what you mean smb, no one really recommended maverick to me, I just did soooo much homework. Then stumbled onto maverick. I hear so much good about them but I hold back on truly backing them until I have worked with them a while. I will tell people to take a look at them to say the least.
sorry for the hijack of your board. SMC is right, TMC is another good choice from everything I have seen. There is a driver for TMC here named flatbed fred and he has his own website as well. He has ALOT of info on TMC. Most people on here think he is a recruiter, he is not a recruiter, he is a fellow DRIVER. He might get references, but he knows the TMC way. BOL
Mavrick did say they had recently bought a glass company and I could proably get on running glass. Anyone pull glass for them?

I loved Henderson trucking out of Salem IL you better like to run team however til you get some exp. They do not give a 3 week wonder keys to a truck and turn them loose on there own after training. The training period there is 3 months long after you hire on with a trainer the 1st month you run like a solo driver for the most part the second month 50% like a team last month like a team. After that you are considered a second seat driver and put with someone that has at least 2 years OTR exp as your first seat. They do not mess around with saftey. Pay is great benes are great hometime is decent. Equipment is either pete 387 or freightliner condos. I know since I was a driver for them till I was forced to retire. They run primarly west coast some south with just a little around the DC area for safeway reefer company.
