Default Companies that train new Teams?

My wife and I are about ready to make the jump to driving and will drive as a team. CFI turned me down because my work history "looked" bad (3 construction jobs this year, because in my line of construction, you go where the work is. Also, I have a business in Russia for the last 3 years.) so... CFI won't work, sadly. We're really unhappy about that, as they seemed to be the best.

So... do any of you know other decent training companies we could try? Schneider sounds to be decent, but I read that their training class is only 2 weeks long!!! 2 weeks????? Most seem to be 4 weeks before sending you with a finisher! Yikes!

Any ideas would be most appreciated. We've been planning and saving for this all year and now are about set to do it.. but lost our 1st choice company!

    Default Schneider

SNL's "training" class is two weeks straight (14 days.) It's nearly equal to the course duration (15 class days, 3 weeks) for a commercial school. After that, you go with an OTR trainer (TE) for OJT training before you test out for your CDL. There're worse training schemes to earn a CDL and employment with an entry level company. BOL

Covenenat is the only company I know of that will train a new team together in the same truck, but I personally think that it is unsafe and you get short changed because you and your partner only get one set of experiences and one view point.

Most all the training companies hire teams and will allow you to team with who you want after OTJ training. You and your partner will train in separate trucks for 4-6 weeks, and when you both upgrade you will be able to run team.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

Same amount but you probably wont need all that time that some1 w/out a CDL........... on the job training is the best..alot of what they teach you in those two weeks wont mean squat until you actually get out on the road and feel the experience
