    Default Knight Transportation

Ok, once and for all. I have decided on Knight Transportation in Memphis. I will be leaving for there either on Sunday or Monday. I hope that it is what they say they are. I know that each terminal runs a different part of the country but I do not know what part that this particular one runs. My guess would be the southern part of the country. Anyways, here we go! lol

Good luck to you. Be sure to pay attention in orientation or you will end up screwing yourself out of pay and have all sorts of problems getting home, getting miles, etc.

I left there a year ago this November. I never had any real major issues while there.

I was just curious, it did sound like you had some experience with Knight.

I just hate people that comment on companies that have had no experience with said company.

You know anything about Knight Refrigerated?

I really do not know anything about the Refer division at Knight. It was just getting off the ground when I worked there and they were, at that time, only hiring out of the western states.

I used to work there but out of the Indy terminal. I hear a few things have changed since I was there. Like the Wabasto heaters and the 64 mph speed limit. I have never dealt with the Memphis terminal but it is the same company so it SHOULD be just like the rest. Not holding my breath though. I never had any real problems while I was there last time either. But, Here we go again.

When I was there Memphis, Indy and KC worked well together since their respective drivers were constantly in eachothers area of responsibility. I spent quite a bit of time in the Memphis area and never felt I got the shaft or anything.

I was just curious, I am heading to Kinghts Reefer division on Monday. Had alot of oppurtunities up here in Seattle. But alot of these so called companies wanting experienced drivers had crap for equipment and didn't pay at all. 30 - 32 cents a mile, no benefits at all.

And I would never drive local in Seattle area, if you have been up here you would know why.

So I promised myself never to work for a big comapny again but I am going to give it one more shot.

Look the bottom line for drivers @ knight will be runs r very short.. They hire more drivers then they got loads 4. They lack in trl.s.. Dont give yours up, stick with live unload, less x hunting 4 mt. Stay off the Carsile board, from MD. up.. Unless u have a preplan gettin u out. Atlanta term. also will be a long wait 4 load. Reefer division may b runnin well, if u like odd hr.s and lumpers, no Pete @ 66 mph. is wort drivin. Dry r short on loads, alot. Unless u wont a 200 or 300 mile run, u may get a load 4 take off 200/300 miles then u will get a long run, when thats done, u will b face with short 1's. Knight has some good employees on the othe end of the ph. There just tryin 2 make like u and i. Thats the real deal, Good Luck!
