Looking for a good job
Youngstown,OH driver looking for a long haul job. 39 years old, 5'10" 230 lbs, no serious health issues, 8 year Army veteran. 10 years OTR in vans and reefer, no accidents, 1 speed ticket in car 67 in 55 Feb.06, no drugs ever, dont drink, non smoker, no criminal record ever.
Have driven everywhere in lower 48 in all kinds of weather. Dont like Canada or NYC/LI, although I will go under the right circumstances. Not afraid of unloading with proper rest and fair pay. I define decent pay for my level of experience as high 30's cpm and a $1000 a week consistently. Multi drop loads would not be a problem. Willing to stay out a couple weeks or so for a decent job.
I cant stand being BS'ed. I'm not interested in a company looking to fill a seat. I dont want to be used. If Im misled, or I cant make decent money, I leave. I prefer not to waste anyone's time. I tell it like it is, and I ask for the same. Im looking for a real job with a company that can keep me busy consistently, pays good, and has decent, reliable equipment . Im not particularly patient if I cant make a decent living.
A small company would be preferred. I have NO interest in large fleets. Im not interested in being a "leased" driver. I have no interested in expedited.
