    Default Smoking Survey

I don't smoke - Never have, never will.

It seems like 85% of the drivers I have been teamed with SMOKE.

What is it about driving & smoking, anyways?

When I buy my 1st truck & if I need to hire a driver for a team operation, I'm gonna make sure I specify "Smokers need not apply".

I smoke and have done it for long.
It?s more like a lifestyle nowdays, I could probly quit easily but I?m just so used to wake up, have my coffee and take that cigarette at 4.15 in the morning
But I have been kicking the habbit lately tho. If I could find something special to motivate then I bet I could do it.........

Well some needed advice 1 never post or verbally state smokers need not apply opens the door for lawsuits. Just observer the persons habits offer them a smoke break during the interview and if they smoke don't hire them but find a reason other than smoking for not hiring them.
You don't have to like it you just have to do it!

Ric .... I use to be a smoker ... but I watched my Father die with lung cancer ... when you watch someone you love trying to get air in their lungs, but can't .... You will make a Life's decision then !! ... as well as my fiance - 53yr died of lung cancer , very heavy smoker .... I was a TRUE B%#@* for a month .... once I stopped ... I've been smoke free for 3 years now.... I don't care if someone smokes .... just not in a closed up area for long .... ( just try to paint the inside of a home of a smoker ... it will bleed through the paint ....)

do what it best for You .

Yes I smoke and like Sanchez said complaining may be hazardous to your health. I also dip snuff when I'm driving or find myself in one of those Communist areas that is "smoke-free". Dipping snuff cuts down on the number of smokes I go through in a given time. Cigarettes are so expensive that it's more of a cost control thing than a health thing.......Don

My mother died last year of cancer and she was a heavy smoker. One of the last things she wanted to do was have a cigarette. I had to paint her house. To get rid of the smoke I had to use a primer. There is still a smell in the bathroom I can't seem to get completely rid of.

Sorry to hear about your loss, my mother has emphysema but won't quit. Kitchen and bathroom paint is different than regular paint. Perhaps stripping the paint completely and starting over might help. If there is a fan in the ceiling that might need to be thoroughly cleaned as well.
