    I've got cable.

Started with 768/128 dsl @ 34.95 per month (Verizon)

Upgraded to 3mbit/384 cable @ 44.95 per month (Road Runner)

No contest there - 3x the speed for $10 per month

    56k

It's gotten a hair faster over the years, because my computers have gotten to be really fast. I still use the same modem I got in a gateway I use to own back in early 99

Cable modem. Around 2.0, depending on what time of day it is...lowest I've seen it is 1.4, peak time on a Friday. Cost? $29 a month.

    Dial-up? What's that?

    A string between two tin cans. :P :P :P :P

Or in the case of computers it would be between two silicon cans.

wireless from our cable company. sometimes it's a little faster than DSL but on occasion it's slower than a 14.4 modem. but it's all we have so we keep it. $50.00 a month

    1.5mb down/896k up DSL

Downgraded from a 6 mb down/ 768k up cable connection. I'd prefer faster upload because of all the uploading I do, but 90k/Bs up is pretty good.

Depends on what is working on the road. Depends on where we are US or Canada, never a dull moment trying to get on line and staying on line.

    Default using Comcast

Getting 6 Megabits....obscenely fast. I build all my own boxes and do lots of VOIP and Peer tp peer. $00MB files download in under 30 minutes. Sure wish I could take it on the road with me.

By the way, is there a way to get in truck internet these days? I need to do some research.
