Ebook

As a driver I have been taking notes for several years now and I have volums of information, and insightful therory, and information on trucking. I have always said I was going to publish a ebook on this subject. What I am wondering is if as a newbie or even a seasoned vetern would anyone be internested purchasing a book based completly on trucking. Be this for learning purposes, entertainment or just because.
I have been working on this for quite some time and have come to the conclusion that it is far less expensive to publish a ebook and wondering if my time and efforts are worth it.
Just taking a poll to see if it would be worth it.
Thanks for your input.
This would be a book about trucking written by a actual trucker.

I am old fashined also. I still read a lot. When I was a kid my parents baught me the britannica set of encyclopdia's. I read those things like they were great novels. So I am either old fashined or a serious geek one. I dont know.
BUt my dad did it too. He was a trucker and took one book with him until he had read it all, and then come home and took another with him.
We just could not get enough learning about stuff.
I have a child that is like that now. He cannot get enough. He reads everything from books, to magazines, to whatever he can his hands on.
But that is why I decided on a ebook. It is cheap to do it. And also most people are more apt to read something on thier conputer than they are to actually pick up printed material and read. And for those that do like to read printed material can print it.

But lets see on that vidio. I do have a digital vidio cam and a regular vidio cam and some other things. MAybe messing with some photography with comantary would be neat! lol

What do we call it? Trucking for idiots? And I wear a dunce hat? lol

If it is geared toward drivers I would say books on tape.

Snow is so kind, but what she really means by knockout is that if you were to see me you would want to knock yourself out so you wouldnt have to look at me anymore! lol

Books on tape, huh, well maybe but that is just like getting a book published on paper. It cost and you have to get a company interested in it enough to pick you up on it.

I have tons of informtaion. And kinda what I am gearing towards for now is newbie drivers. I do actually have it started and look to have it ready in about 2 to 3 weeks.

So here is what I think that I am going to do. I am going to do the ebook gearwed towards the newbies, and then do a website that is for truckers and newbies.

The ebook was more for newbies to start with. Things like from beggining to end how to go about school, what you actually go threw. I have detailed information on mapping and logs and general things like advice and how to handle situations. A truck stop guide that we put together ourselves. We took a regular truck stop guide and we have managed over the years to stop at these places and I tell what kind of restruant, services and things like that and rate it.

It would kinda be like a ll in one manual for newbies that they could get online, print it and do whatever with it. But if a regular trucker wanted it they could get it too and and use it for everyday stuff.

Book on tape, I am not sure that would work because this is more like a refrence book. But if you want me to make you a book on tape I can read a book for you and you can play it in your tape deck and pretend I am reading you a bedtime story! lol Just kidding! lol
But I do have a pretty nice voice! lol
My son tells me no one talks so soft and pretty as mommy!

Well the reason I say book on tape is this. Not everyone has a laptop they can take with them or even a pc at home. But most people have access to a cassette player.

Oh and I have seen your picture. It would be more like I would knock myself out getting to you lol. But then again your hubby might have something to say about that. And as to the reading to me. Oh purty please tell me a bedtime story.

The book on tape thing could work, but they would have to take notes you know. This is kinda like a complete trucking manual.

I can make a CD and send it to you! Then you can listen to me all the time! lol

I know it is hard to explain. When I get it finished I will send you a copy of it. It isprintable. A person could buy the ebook, print it from the computer and then do whatever they want with it like punch holes and put it in a binder or something.

Sanchez I am not sure you are going to want to read this book. lol
I have been slaving away at it and I am already up to page 252 and I dont get the feeling that I have touched mear of what I am looking for! lol

This is a actual manual!

Anyway, I am tired have been driving some of the day and working on the book the other part. It is time for us to crash out! Hubby has been out like a light for over a hour now.

I was being a Mommy and a Wife....It's a tough job but somebody has to do it. Just Kidding !!!

I have been slaving over getting information together. Not to mention that I had a week long class on radioactive materials and a math test to sum up the week with last week. I am truely exhausted.
But I will get some rest and I will let you all know when it is done. This could take a while lol
But that is cool too, that way I can get it all in there just how I want it.
