Solo, where you getting fuel for $1.70 a gallon? Right now I pretty much figure fuel is going to be costing us $2.00 a gallon.

I hear ya on the mileage. My trusty ole T600 with the almighty 430 detroit is getting around 6.5 mpg. I want to get a 379 but the thing thats holding me back is mileage, I don't want to go below 6.

$1.70 a gallon, was just a minimum example! But actualy, i'm getting fuel in NJ, for $1.76 right now, full tanks,(300 gallons) could keep me running for 2000 miles, which is more than enough for my usual rounds! 8) Cause company, i'm leased to, pays fuel taxes, i don't have to worry, about fuel tax credit! Also, you are not nesseserely will drop, below 6mpg with 379, but you'll deffenetly get better fuel milege, with the same specs, but more aerodinamic truck! And like i said,- i'm here for the money, not for show! 8)

Me too but the thing I don't like about my T600 is it feels like it going to tip over going into a corner, basically its a weeble. A lot of its the 8 bag rear suspension, combine that with the set back front axel and high profile cab makes for a truck that has an ok ride but is hard to keep between the lines. The 379's ride great and run more flat which is what I am looking for, and yea, they look cool too.

Not that it's my favorite (only drove a couple trucks), I run a '94 KW T600 with 1,030,000 miles on the original Cat 475, w/ an Eaton 9 spd. I average around 6.5mpg running loaded in the flatlands, and about 5.5 in the hills in the east coast.

To the best of my knowledge, the only thing that's been done to the truck is the heads were rebuilt. Tranny & rears have never been cracked open.

The only thing I don't like about that model is the bulkhead you have to crawl through (it's a dbl bunk aerocab).

Not sure, but if you can hum a few notes I could probably play it on the guitar....

And one other snide comment or question, in this case: If it's a W900 Rooster Cruiser, why is there a photo of a Pumpkin Century??????
