What is the longest time you have stayed out on OTR without being home and how many miles did you get?

I couldnt tell ya the miles, but the longest I've ever been out was from the end of May/first of June til Mid-November. Did that for 6 years. Drove locally in the winter.

Stayed out for 4 months one time while training my trainee lived in CA near Knotts Berry Farm so when he went home I went there for the weekend and the compnay paid for the hotel room. During that time I personally drove around 30K miles but the truck ran 70K because of the training part.
The longest I stayed out solo was 3 months and ran right at 39K miles and I was beat at the end of that time however the money was great and I was ready to go home for a week and I did. After 4 days though I called the company and said give me a load and get the HELL OUT OF HERE.

When I was single I would stay out for about 4 months at a time and only go home for about 4 days. I kept my stuff at my mom's house since it didn't pay for me to have my own place. I took my time off where ever I wanted during the 4 months out. For me it was a great time!

I'll stick with my current gig. Usually out 5 days and average 3k miles.

I don't quite understand your question so, i will break it up into factions that i believe how the question is being asked, of me.
1)The longest trip i've ever taken in OTR history was charlotte NC to Edmonton, Alberta. I think the mileage had to have been at least 2900. It took i think 4 or 5 days. 2)The longest i have "officially" stayed out OTR was 6 weeks. But see, with this company "officially" means that you didn't take "home time." This does not mean that you passed by the house, which i did probably at least two times during this "official" time out. 3) The longest i have been actually out without actually passing by the house was 3 weeks. |
