    Default help a college kid

I'm a student at California State University of Northridge, and I'd like to gather some information on the rules and enforcement of drug and alcohol polices through the perspective of its employees. I'm not interested in what company spokesmen say, I want to know about the people the rules effects.

I do NOT want to know which company you work for, so you can be honest without giving your company a bad name. For the same reason there is no need to include your name. It does not matter if this is the current company you work for, or a previous one. So if you can let me know what are the drug and alcohol polices, are there random tests, if so how often, are drugs and alcohol mentioned in the training, and does your company take any extra steps, such as installing Breathalyzers in your vehicle needed to start the engine. If you have any stories to illustrate a point, I would be happy to hear them. This is an anonymous survey so please be honest and don't sugar coat anything. If you feel more comfortable sending you replies to my e-mail it is anti_george@hotmail.com. Thank you to all who took a minute to help a student out.

A little leftist getting an early start. She is probably looking to write a paper on the abolishment of drug testing.

The problem is, though I hate it, drug testing is needed. As an employer I know this first hand. Most people have know clue of the illegal drug use that is so prevalent in our country.

If I could get a driver passed the DMV check, the next hurdle was the drug test. I swear that allot of guys search out us little independent guys thinking we will not drug test them, but we do.

If you are using drugs, or are a drunk, you have no business driving mine or anyone else's equipment. And if you are an honest guy, you should have no problem taking a drug test. And yes, I know all of the arguments against it. The risks are just to great to take chances anymore, we live in sue happy times and I want nothing to do with that. We already all pay enough for this stupid behavior.

not sure if this is everywhere but i know i had to pass a drug test before getting into the company i work for now. there are also random tests that come up every so often. In my opinion they are a very useful tool for keeping users out of most commercial vehicles. also odds are if you have had a DUI in your personal vehicle good luck getting into a truck do to insurance purposes. breathalizers in trucks would be a little overkill.

What a bummer! My employment completely interferes with my drug habit.
Man can't slam a little "H" without being dragged through the mud these days!!! :x
When I get old, I move north and drive slow in the fast lane.

Because I'm only home two weekends a month, I can only be a raging, wife beating alcoholic just 4 days a month.
This trucking thing really sucks but at least I'm making plenty of money hauling illegals across the border to use them as cheap labor in my meth lab.
Everything I need to know about driving a truck I learned from watching "DUEL"
