    Hey mackman,

The 96's have ALOT more power than the original 88's. All depending on if the motor was the 88a or the 88b. I believe that the 88b's have about 6 more stock hp than the 88a. But if you take a 88 and dyno it against a 96 your looking at about a 25-35 hp increase.

I had the 1550 big bore kit put on my new dresser (06 flhtci) this year along with a se2 cam, and stage 2 intake kit, and WOW... Not only did I gain about 33 horses, but my fuel mileage actually went up from about 38 city and 43 highway, to about 44 city and 48 highway. (this is depending on how hard you throttle of course) My next upgrade will be to put the 6speed kit on with a power command module. This will help out fuel even more, and give me the power to set up the efi when pulling a trailer or going through mountainous terrain.

Quick question for everyone riding since I spoke of mountainous terrain.. Anyone ever ridden Deal's Gap in between Tenn and N.C. ? I rode it twice this year, and man what a rush..... Just watch out if riding a dresser, your floorboards will scrape... But what a roller coaster... LOL

Go back to Iraq and go to Camp Victory or Anaconda and you can order a new one at a pretty big savings-No Taxes and you pick it up at a dealership in the States. :P

You can’t tell the difference; with a pipe they sound the same. Less money, more miles riding without repair its a smart move for the money! Service from the dealer is even less expensive!
Why pay for a name when you can get the same exact look and more power to boot!!!

Better check your facts about american made again. HD sold out to the overseas gang. Honda vtx is a jap bike check out where the parts are made, and where it is assembled, It will shock you!....lol

American bikes are for posers... If you can't drag a knee off of it, its not worth riding!

They’re no longer a all American bike, remember the out sourcing that is talked about on so many threads here?? Think about it, get parts made overseas and still sell for an ungodly amount of money, go figure...lol And to top it off there made to break!!

    8) Yea, well mackman that is the way I`ve always felt, until I saw a custom built RoadStar by Yamaha! Check it out at on the Yamaha web site, go to motorcycles then to Star. Right now they have the last 10 years showing the calender of Customs, I will never be a convert, but, like I said earlier if I was going to build another Custom!. It would be a RoadStar.
