Because his method of "moderation" is simply to ridicule posters. What purpose does that serve? If they are a troll, then ban them. If they come back, ban them again.

I doubt when he was asked to be a moderator here, that they said "When you see something that is out of line, I want you to make fun of the person, but don't actually do anything to SOLVE the problem".
