Default Commercial Truck Drivers--A Close Knit Community?

As I review the multitude of posts presented here from time to time, I am left with the impression that some CDL holders are extremely negative towards other drivers, especially potential CDL holders with traditional obstacles to overcome in order to gain employment in the industry. From time to time, a post will be made which may not be presented in the most favorable light. Nevertheless, such a post will elicit a sarcastic response from a veteran of the field.
It is in the industry's best interest to provide responses, whether to informational requests or whatnot, in the most respectful form. I do not believe the submission of sarcastic advice will dissuade anyone from doing what they set out to accomplish. There is nothing wrong with giving constructive criticism, but presented the wrong way, such statements will do more harm than good. One of the joys of trucking is being able to travel. If you are a driver, the odds are you will ultimately be exposed to the same people more than once. What type of driver would you prefer to share the road with?

I would prefer to share the road with topless female drivers. :P
When I get old, I move north and drive slow in the fast lane.

I would like to share the road with someone who has some common sense. A large number of new drivers these days seem to not have been taught this by their mommy's and daddy's, so yes us "VETS" can be a little sarcastic sometimes. This is the same everywhere, not just in trucking...lol
By the way, I like the idea of the topless female drivers a lot...lol

Sorry Glasman I don't drive topless in my dreams or on the road. Not my style and besides they'd just get in the way. LOL Drive safe everyone.
