I'm glad she did really well. Was pulling for her to win the race. I would hate to be the guy who won (what was his name) there has been more coverage of her then Dan Wheldon. Well yooper, he may of had a ride on his daddy's shirt tails but has 2 Busch championships and is in 15th in points in Cup.

I'm not a huge fan of Jr. but his lifestyle/additude outside or in the track has nothing to do with his driving skill. That's just like everyone hateing Gordon cause of his personality, he's a great driver regardless. Thats my opinion which means nothing, just ask Sanchez, but he's from Arkansas though.

I personally don't like the 29 (Harvick) but he's a good driver. A young punk kid to me,never the less a good driver.

with me it started last year with Jr. after he Spun out on purpose to get a yellow flag and with his driving this year-Smacking his own Team mate(I HATE the "Team" concept of racing also)

    Default Racing

Danicka Patrick is the best thing to happen to racing since Andretti Sr climbed into a race car. As far as Nascar is concerned they should jump at the chance to sign her to a ride, even if it is for part of a season. Race fans are ready to see a women who can really drive, mix it up with the rest of the cup boys. Following up about certain drivers having ability, I have to mention the ones who can shift, brake and turn on tracks like Watkins Glen and Infineon Raceway in CA, instead of just driving ovals.
Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, and even junior can get the job done. They have real talent when you can take an overweight cup car around those tracks fast.

    Danicka has done pretty well!
Although the comments coming from Robby Gordon that she does not weigh as much as a man does and will be able to place because of that, sounds like he is a little upset she is doing so well.

You know, it's sad that so many 'men' (WHA HA HA HA HA!!!!) in sports are crying about women upstaging them. You've got Danicka Patrick who is on the cusp of taking her first win and all the little 'boys' want to whine and cry. In golf, you've got Michelle Wie, who is by all accounts, the next Tiger Woods and a 15-year old female to boot, and you've got all the little 'boys' crying about a woman showing them up. I'm no golf fan, but I had to laugh here about a week and a half ago when Wie took down the first three of her match play opponents before finally losing to the guy from Utah for a shot at the Masters. They were doing an interview with her and two others, who looked like they wanted to throw up. What a bunch of losers. I have no respect for so-called 'professionals' who can't hack the fact that a girl kicked their butts.

And you're right, Random. Wie and Patrick are two women that are pulling in viewers, new fans, and big-time bucks for their respective sports. Some of those losers need to figure that out.

It is really great the she did so well. If only she did not run out of fuel...

I do hate Jeff Gordon because of his personality. You can be a great driver without being abrasive(RIP Dale E....) NASCAR would be a lot more civilized without him. It seems like his goal in life is to piss everyone off. He need to be taken down a couple of notches.

By the way, my favorite driver is Michael Waltrip. He hasn't won a lot of races, but he is a real nice and humorous guy.

Well Michael won't be with DEI next year and you can't knock Gordon of his racing ability,he is one of the best. If you go by personality, that would eliminate half the field, and no i'm not a big fan of the 24,but he is good and you can't take that away.
