Default NASCAR team loses hauler and car

This is just odd. The team pulled out of this weekends race in Atlanta. The car was found last night up NW of Atlanta after being stolen from SE, in the Morrow area. The truck and trailer along with a spare engine and equipment was not found. My first thought was it was repo'ed. Apparently it was yanked just 10 minutes before they were to head to the track Friday morning. It was a black dually and all white Sunbeam trailer instead of the full transporter which was sitting at the track. Odd situation, they decided to work on the car Thursday at their shop up in NC instead of doing the test at Atlanta. They then drove down later Thursday and stopped in Morrow instead of going the last 15 miles to the track and dropping everything off in the middle of the night.

And here everyone was so worried when they went to Mexico City...........

The entire incident sounds strange.

It does, I no longer think repo, cops say its an open investigation. A repo would have quashed that already. The car would have been impossible to unload by thieves looking to make a quick buck. More than likely the tools and equipment can be unloaded still. The engine, prolly was too heavy to get off the trailer so they took it with them. The car had tires on it, just roll it off and go on your way. The hard part would be hiding the truck and trailer, it wasn't small. Back to the engine, can't really part it out very well and certainly can't drop it into a street car. Well you could but the instant you fire it up, everyone is gonna know its a full on racing engine.

So it just got weirder on this story. Yesterday it came out that the team owner has an arrest warrant out of Jersey. Something about owing someone some money over a nightclub. Maybe it was a repo after all? Still doesn't seem like a repo but this thing just keeps staying weird!
