    For the last few minutes, I've sat here, wondering what to do..

    I asked myself, "Should I find last year's 'college football' thread, and bump it, or should I just start a new one?"

    The reason I asked myself that is because-Is it just me, or is this year's season just like last year? With the exception of a few schools. Boise St, TCU, and Cincinnati. It looks like to me, unless something unusually strange happens, it will be either Florida, or Bama vs Texas in the Big One. I don't see Texas beating either one of those. Of course, it aint over yet. All of the top 5 schools could lose, and then no telling who will be in it.

    There is some difference. Texas Tech was in the top 5, this time last year. This year is totally different. They have one quarterback that throws from his back foot, and he reminds me of Tony Romo. The other quarterback has his foot nailed, and stapled together. Man, they are having all kinds of trouble this year. Penn State didn't quite make it up there. Poor guys. The University of Spoiled Children has 3 losses. It wouldn't surprise me if they still end up there.
    Choklahoma started off on the wrong foot.
    What would happen if Florida, Bama and Texas lost, before the Conference Champianship games? Would TCU, Boise St have National Title chances? Or Cincinnati?
    Could yall imagine Cincinnati playing for the National Title?

    If Texas looses now, they are toast. They won't play anyone in the Big 12 Title game that could help them get back up there. I think TCU is sitting in the perfect spot if they win out. They need some luck but you never know, everyone was ready to hand the Big 12 Title and National Title to OU before K-State put a whupping on them in the 2003 Big 12 title game. If Florida or Bama looses now, that SEC Title game sould save them if they win that over the other if the other wins out but the loser of that game is definitely done for the BCS. As of right now TCU, Boise and Cincy are all playing to be first in line to get the loser of the SEC Title game in a BCS bowl game. They need a lot of help and this week ain't looking good, Bama and Florida have cupcakes before in-state rivalry games. Kind of the same thing with Texas, Kansas this week then A&M the following.

    I think Texas will beat either of those 2 SEC schools. I hate the coach at Bama and I hate the whole state of FL, so I might be a little biased

    Cincy is highly overrated if you ask me. TCU looks pretty good in the limited action I have seen of them. BSU just doesn't play many quality opponets, so it's hard to know about them.

    I'm just grateful that the weather forcast for this weekend is a high of 53 last year it was a high of 29 and a low of 16, you know you can only hide so much hot damn on ya..... these afternoon/night games in the north in Nov. are ridiculous.

    USC got drummed 55 to 21 by Stanford last Saturday and my biggest surprise is they didn’t move up in the polls. I bet if they win the next two games in a row, they’ll be right back in the middle of the hunt for the national title.

    Man…the BCS is nothing but a glorified popularity contest. We need a playoff system so bad it is truly pathetic we can’t have one.

    With respect to the Gumps and Florida, the SEC Championship game will decide which one of them will be in the Championship and it looks like if Texas continues to control its own destiny, they will be the other team playing for the national championship. Nevertheless, I don’t think any of those three teams are as good right now as they were this time last year.

    Regarding TCU, Cincinnati, and Boise State, out of those three I believe TCU is the best of the three because of their defense, Cincinnati is also pretty good, and because of their weak and pathetic schedule there is no way Boise State should even be considered for the Championship game.

    By the way, I’m a LSU fan and I believe Les Miles is easily the most incompetent coach in the SEC. They are loaded to the gills on offense, yet their offense ranks 107 out of 117 teams and last year they were the most talented 8 & 5 team in the history of college sports. What a waste!

    Oh not this crap again! That’s pretty chicken-***** of you, you try to indict the entire tiger nation for the actions of a few. Not to mention that they were drinking at the time, but any way you arm a self-loathing liberal with a camera and that’s the kind of crap you end up with.

    Yeah, I was hoping like hell that Les would take off to Michigan in 2007. Anyway, if my team played in the lowly Big 10 and lost to lowly Appalachian State on national TV, I would have a chip on my shoulder too.

    Anyway, I see you guys are having another great season again. Maybe if I get lucky Rodriguez will have another bad year next year and you guys will take Les off our hands. If only we could be so lucky. Anyway, LSU fans rock and are the best fan base in the country and Michigan fans are lame by comparison.

    wow, just wow. I guess maybe someone should learn something about sarcastic humor. or maybe hits a little too close to home? I wonder if those LSU worshipers would be brave enough to say any of that garbage in the Tigers locker room?

    Oh way to be observant also, if you think U of M shots mean anything to me.....LOL.

    I Love College More Than Pro but i think the system sucks!! It should be a 8 team playoff, Who wouldn't love to see a 4-5 matchup between TCU & Cincy?? I agree whoever said Cincy was overatted i think Pitt will knock them off in the upcoming weeks..

    I'm rooting for Texas as i'm a big fan of Colt and Jordan Shipley.. They don't have much of a running game but that with the combo of those two they are deadly.
    Remember the last time Texas had a great quarterback and had to play this beast of a team know as USC who was a Defending Champion??
    If i'm Florida i'm Shaking, Tebow hasn't seen a Defense as nearly half as good as this Texas One and Bama hardly has any offense!!

    Also on Rich Rod, i'm rooting for the Guy, i think he needs about another year and i bet you the Wolves will be contending for a Big Ten title next year.. His system is so complex, give Robinson and that other fella one more year to learn his offense and let him find a speedy back like Slanton and Devine that he had in West Virginia, Rich Rod will be ok!!

    Geez Glad Hand................need to ask for decaf next time. Grow up bud or stay off the internet, it was a joke. Would you have been upset if he brought up the Ole Miss BS that is going on right now instead?

    Boise has a great offense but their D is very suspect. I'm certain they could run with Florida or Texas, it'd be a friggin Arena League final score though. Having watched TCU several times, they look like the most complete package of any team within the Top 5. Them and Texas look like it would be a heck of a game, might be why Texas backed out of playing them next year. TCU killed UVA until they pulled the starters, then UVA started making plays and that was in the pouring rain in Charlottesville. The Texas D has had moments where they looked suspect for a bit along with their O while TCU has been nearly perfect on both sides.

    I so would love to see a playoff and force the big boys to have to deal with these smaller schools.

    TCU vs Texas would be a good game, and I wouldn't be suprised if TCU would beat Texas. Who knows, that game might come up in a bowl game.

    Texas is tough, I'll give them that, but I don't think they are any tougher this year than they were last year. The problem with Texas is that they play cupcakes. They have played only 2 ranked teams this year (OU and OK State).
