The Boys cut him. Good riddence. He is one of the worst all time cancers to ever play pro ball. If I had a vote he would never get into the hall of fame.

I heard the news, myself.
It's about time!
T.O couldn't catch crabs if he lived on the beach.
He was good in San Fran until he learned how to be cocky. He made that 1 great TD catch from Steve Young I believe to win a playoff game. After that, he became cocky and brash which doesn't fit well in the NFL. He should have taken notes with Keyshawn Johnson when he started acting out in NY. Once he realized teams weren't going to put up with his antics he changed a ton. Believe Jon Gruden set him straight in Tampa with his no nonsense style of coaching. TO is a joke anymore, a sideshow just like Rodman was in the NBA. Both could/can play the game but they let the sideshow in them come out way too much.
I bet he ends up in New England.......Belicheat loves those projects.
Somebody will pick him up, keep him for a year, then cut him. There are teams desperate enough to sign him.
Don't trust anybody. Especially that guy in the mirror.
Ya know Mr. Ford, Owens has never really impressed me. He has made some big plays, but I can't compare him to Drew Pearson, or Michael Irvin. T.O to me is just all talk. He can't quite walk it.![]()
Maybe at one time, he was a big producer, but he hasn't gone over very well with me. Not that I'm a football expert, but shoot, I could run a pass route, and drop the ball.![]()
Nope, the sideshow had taken complete control of his game by the time he got to Dallas JR. While with San Fran and the start of his time in Philly, he was good, real good. Big WR that was physical, no DB could take him on and win. Then the prima donna came out and it was all downhill from there. Again, just like Rodman in the NBA. At one time he was a real basketball player not a sideshow freak.
And TO lands in Buffalo with a 1 year $6.5 Mil contract. Now the question is, what's the over/under on how long he goes until the whining starts?
I'd give him 2 years. He probably will last his first there, but I don't see more than 2.
Buffalo! Man that was a shocker! Hard working middle class rust belt city with 3 feet of lake effect snow! TO might be in too much culture shock to run his mouth there! He might stay out of trouble there. He is 35 yo and on the down side of his career. But Jerry Jones is saying TO is a good guy and he wasn't a problem. He said that they wanted to go in a different direction and groom Roy Williams for the no 1 spot. I don't believe it. More likely it was Romo saying he can't stand TO and told Jerry he can't work with him. They'll be fine without him. They still have Romo, Williams, Crayton, Whitten, Barber...not to mention Felix Jones and Miles Austin did pretty well last year too. They don't need him and for once JJ did something I agree with. Still dont like him though. I'm a Cowboys fan from the 70's with Staubach and Landry.
Heard someone saying that this could ruin his guarenteed spot in the HOF. Guarenteed? Let's see his resume here:
SB Titles: 0
SB MVP's: 0
League MVP's: 0
Records: 1(most receptions in a single game with 20)
The HOF is not a revolving door policy where any good player gets in, you have to be a great player to get in. TO is not the player anymore. He hurts his team more than he has helped it since 2001 with his attitude and actions on the field or off. You also have to be of good character to get in, he fails that one miserably.
I also heard this is a sign of very few offers for TO. He and his agent had to jump on the first deal offered.
i had a run in with him in real life while i was working the overnight shift at a wally world in scottsdale, az. he's the same way off the field as he is on. he's one of few people that i wouldn't help if he was on fire.
Someone whom I never liked, Ray Lewis, I like him a ton nowadays after seeing him at another job I was doing. He was there with his family and was doing his best to stay low key.
