    Talking Hockey is here again

    i know there aren't a lot of hockey fans here. but it's back until june and i'm happy. yeah!!

    Ah..ya hoser, yer right. This really isn't aboat Hockey, eh.
    It's aboat Canadian Beer..doncha know?..eh?
    BTW...I never heard anyone up here say aboot...must be some East Coast dialect. We say aboat..eh..(a boat)..and use heavy R's. We answer a lot of the time with R...or variation of R...like Yar, Har, Nar, Gar, Argh, Rrrr..eh.

    Hockey is just what we do to keep busy through the winter, while ice fishing, and drinking Beer..eh. I tink Hockey got started by cleaning up empty beer cans off da ice...one ting led to anudder. It was all much simpler when we had just 6 teams back in the day. Now there are so many Hockey teams, all we have time for in the winter is Hockey and Beer..eh? ...ya hoser. Beauty!

    You can't drink American beer while watching Hockey...I tink it's a rule. Besides all that American beer is made overseas...and most of it is lite beer. Most of the water in the US is in the Great Lakes, or the American beer...eh.
    Oh okidocki..ya..ya hoser...dare is Canadian lite beer too, but that's just for breakfast..eh.

    Go Red Wings!..eh. Yoose Toronto Maple Leafs are a bunch of pussies..eh.

    Upper Michigan speak more Canadian than most of the Canadians. I think out in Alaska, NWT, BC, Alberta, Sascat, Manitoba they mostly talk like regular Americans. Ontario and Upper Michigan, and Nufundland eh, I tink is aboat the only place yoose guys will here this many variations on the word...eh....and keep in mind, it has a lot to do with how you express the word...(eh).....eh.
    (BTW...this is where you find the only real Hockey)

    Eh..y'know = I'll pick you up at 8:00 (8:30 in Newfoundland).
    Eh..cmon!! = well that's early..but ok.
    Eh..wanna? eh? = lets fool around ...
    EHHHHHHH = sounds coming from the car.
    hey..um..er eh... = I'm pregnant!
    EH????????? = how did that happen?
    EHHehhEHHehhEHHH = sounds from the delivery room.
    EHHH-ehh, EHHH-ehh = baby's first cry.
    Ehh..whadya think eh? = marry me.

    shame to lose the home opener. but we are the stanley cup champs this year and nothing will change that until june.
