    Default Sean Taylor is dead

    Taylor Dies

Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor dies a day after being shot at his home in Florida.
Who else thinks his past finally caught up with him? It's a shame when something like that happens, but I can't say it's that much of a surprise anymore. :?

Live as a thug, die as a thug. Again, it's a shame, especially since he was apparently maturing and trying to turn things around.

I was just watching it on ESPN, and I was about the start a thread on it.

It's sad. He was trying to get his life straight, and he was cleaning himself up.

Whats with these guys from the Miami Hurricanes that are getting croaked? Have yall noticed that? Seems like all these players that are dying, they played for the Hurricanes.

I live near Tampa, which has its bad parts, but Miami is really bad. Tons of violent crimes committed on a daily basis. Being a high profile pro football player ads to being targeted as well. In the paper today it has an article about Sean's teamate, Portis, talking about how Sean had really changed after the birth of his daughter, which had been a year ago. What strikes me as being odd is that only 8 days prior his home had been broken into. The police report was that an intruder pryed open a front window and rumaged through some drawers and left a knife on the bed. This last attack occured at 1:45 am and the intruder shot and killed him. It almost seems to me as if they did not want to rob him but wanted him dead, unless some other thug saw an opportunity and acted on it. Not a good thing at all, even if he was a dirty player, death is a little extreme. His daughter was at the house at the time of the shooting, along with his girlfriend, which adds to the domino affect of his death. Sad indeed.

Yeah, I don't buy for a moment that it was a random act. Whoever did it, went after him to kill him. My guess is that it's something from his past...or one would hope it was from the past and that he was truly making positive changes in his life.

Whatever the case, he was a talented player and it's always a shame when something like this happens. Unfortunately, it never happens to the losers that actually deserve something like this. OJ immediately springs to mind.

Naw, I don't wish Tom Brady would die. I just wish Belichek would get deported or thrown in prison and Brady suffer a breakdown and go live under the Bay Bridge as a bum or something.

I guess, I shouldnt have said it. I just cant stand him. He aint all that! Everyone thinks that he is. No better than Philly is, and they nearly ate his lunch. And Randy Moss aint nothing either. Never was, never will be.
If Tom Brady would have ever played against Too Tall, Jim Jeffcoat, and Randy White, Brady would've not ever had a chance.
I'm hoping that Ray Lewis, and Ed Reed will be turned loose on him this week.

People around here are really tore up about this. The 5am news stories this morning were about how he was doing better and looking like he would survive and then 5 minutes later it came thru that he had just died. How in the world do you get up for a game this weekend??

It was not random, it was a definite hit. The phone line to the house had been severed from what I'm hearing. Why only 2 shots were fired is beyond me, maybe he surprised the intruder(s) when they saw he was armed with a machete and they fired wildly as they chickened out while getting a total luck shot that found it's mark.

Since his last court problem, he had a daughter born around the same time and had really turned the corner in becoming a better role model. He really was trying to be a better person, he would always bring his daughter to practices and stuff.

Brady may go down as the best QB to ever play , sorry , deal with it .

BTW , New England is a great team , how can you not admit it ?

Lets see how good Brady would have been against the Steel Curtain the 85 Bears 46 Zone or having Reggie White in his prime chasing him down He would be spending mroe time on his back than a Nevada Cathouse worker does. He is not crap all it is the system he is in. If he is so good put him on the Dolphins or the Jets right now and see how good he really is.

I miss Reggie with his patented one arm throws of a 300# lineman.
By the way-KGB broke his sack record this year. Trouble is he probably won't be playing Tomorrow night.

That's all right. He never would be able to catch Romo anyway. Let the trash talk begin, punk boy! We're 11 hours from kickoff! 8)

I really HATE to be the first one to say it, but...... the Packers went down... sorry Twilight Flyer....Favre got hurt, although Mr. Robinson's [Fred]son [Q. B. Robinson] DID QUITE WELL in taking over for Brett. It was a good game to watch, entertaining and well played by all. I had to go to the local bar and nurse top dollar beer for the trade off, although there was plenty of "eye-candy" to make the evening that much more enjoyable  I do belive these two teams will meet again in the play-off's and The Pack will probably take the "Cry-boys". Were you singing the Mr. Robinson's theme song......"It's a beautiful day for a neighbor... a beautiful day for a neighbor....would ya be mine....could ya be mine....." Probably  NOT ...UH???????? "I have always wanted a neighbor..... just like you ....I always dreamed of a neighbor just like you......lets make the most of this beautiful day....and start a friendship on this beautiful day... could ya be mine...... would ya be mine...hello neighbor!!!!" 8)

    That's Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. 8)

I have to disagree with you on the Packers losing because Favre went down. The Cowboys had prepared for Favre and had shut him completely down (2 picks) before he was injured. Rodgers played an inspired game, but still only managed 2 long scoring drives.

The game went about like I figured it would. I called it 38-17 before the game and other than that 1 long TD run, the Cowboys played solid D. And whether you like it or not, there isn't a team out there that can stop their offense. 37-27 should have been 44-27...Owens bobbled that sure TD that Harris took away in the endzone.

If they meet in the playoffs, it will most likely be in Dallas again and the outcome would be the same.
