Default NHRA legend John Force badly injured

in funny car crash with legend Kenny Bernstein. Both legs are broke, broken arm and who knows what else. He was airlifted but was alert and awake, he knew what was going on. Looks like Bernstein lost control and went over into Force as both hit top speed which sent Force out of control.

I don't know what you watched, Bernstiens car got on the centerline and knocked two timing boxes into Forces lane, which may or may not have caused a tire to blow on Forces car, which then broke in half. The front half of the chassis with the body careened into Bernsteins lane striking his car.

    Here, watch for yourself.............

Yeah, saw the video on Wind Tunnel, ESPN.com had reported what I stated above. They said Bernstein drifted across and into Force.

I'm confused as to why a blown tire would have caused the frame to snap in half right at his seat. He is lucky to be alive, he had nothing to protect him in the front other than his legs when he went into the wall.

Here you go Mr.Ford, the latest info. Seems that Kenny or the cones were not a factor in Force crashing.

    http://www.nhra.com/content/team_rep...4498&zoneid=86

"John feels terrible that there are some people that are blaming Kenny,” said Dave Densmore, Public Relations Director of John Force Racing. “Kenny hit a cone, which every driver has done at some time or another. However, when given access to video from all angles, it's obvious that the cone goes behind John's car and is never a factor. The assumption, I suppose, is that the cone blew out our tire but that just isn't the case. We're still analyzing all the data. For reasons we don't understand, the chassis pulled apart. Kenny did a great job of driving for which John has complimented him and thanked him in a variety of interviews this week. After hitting the cones, Kenny muscled his Dodge back into his own lane. It was the front half of our car that actually came across the centerline and punched out the Monster Dodge. After the impact, Kenny somehow managed to steer his car back off the wall and get it stopped.”

Yeah, when ESPN first showed the video, they did not explain who was in which lane but Dave Despain explained it all with spot shadows and stuff and said that Kenny was innocent. John is one tough SOB but will this end his career? I know he was getting close to retiring, think this will speed that up?

Saw the cones get hit in the Speed video and noticed how they went across the track well behind Force.

He ain't quitting. As a matter of fact, John was asking the doctors Yesterday if they thought he could race in 2 weeks. Obviously, they said no. It will probably be next year before his body is ready, but he will be at the races the rest of this year, whether it be in a wheel chair, with a walker or on crutches .

John Force is tough man I grew up watching him since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Drag racing was always my favorite motorsport, don't care for nascar too much.
