    Default Spider Wire

    Have yall used Spider Wire? Dad told me about a friend of his that lives by it. Dad asked me about it, and like I told him, I've heard of it, but I've never used it.

    They say that Spider Wire makes a 60lb test line that is about the same size of a 12 lb test line. :shock:

    Seems like it would be pricey.

    I've never used it up here but some guys do.
    You can use lower Diameter line with spider wire for whatever test line you're used to.

    Yeah, I went to Academy Sports, and I looked at some. It looks like sewing thread. :P Just crazy, they have 80 lb test. :shock: There are different kinds. I guess, it's different strengths, and stuff.

    I noticed that Roland Martin uses it too. Of course, he is so full of crap. :P But he also swears by it..

    For Walleye or Northern Pike I use 6-8# test-and with spider wire it's really thin line but is as strong as the Old monofilament line
    The less line the fish sees the Better

    I use it. Don't fish much anymore, but I have all my reels wrapped with it.
