Will he ever qualify for a race again?

Even if he does - all he is there for is to hold a spot somewhere after the 30th position and then crash out round lap 26.

May be a heck of a nice guy but the man really can't seem to drive.
Granted he has won 2 races but he gets way too much air time for a 2 hit wonder (one of them rain shortened).

Say what you want about guys like Dale Jr or Johnsosn but at the least they win more than 2x.

he has to seriously consider stepping aside and put somebody else in the car and to just run the team.
He's so psyched out now he could have the best car there is and wipe it out.

He's lucky to still be driving cup. Won a couple plate races on the coattails of DEI. A career minor leaguer.

I was down in Charlotte this weekend, he is the butt-end of a ton of jokes down there amongst the teams. Family friend is the car chief for Rusty Wallace Inc and he was saying, "Yeah I live up there towards Sherrill Ford and THAT Mikey."

Felt bad for Mikey though, he had a shot at getting into the field if he could have completed his 2nd lap. Messed his first one up and it was the only one that counted.

Piece of advice, if you want to visit the shops, DO NOT go down on a race week where the race is in Charlotte. I could not get within 5 miles of Hendrick and Roush on Friday but walked right into DEI and RCR.

And he did it easily. 4th fastest I think of the "Go or go home" guys. Only 6 make it and he was well in front of the 6th in line. DJ made it too but Reut missed out. He pounded the wall coming to get the green, knocked the rear end to the left by about 6 inches and screwed the right front camber/toe-in all up.

I'm sure ya'll heard the rumor last weekend about June-bug and Mikey. For those who missed it, Junior was really interested in driving for Mikey next year, figured he could be a driver and rock star at the same time because he would have weekends off during the race season. 8)
