    Default Montoya

Somebody back me up here, i'm just really tired about hearing of him.

That is my thought, i hope he does well but enough is enough. All the mags i get are about him, this and that. Yeah he is good, very good actually, but.................................

    just had to vent.
In all thy ways, acknowledge him.

He hasn't had an awesome start, he has struggled, save all that talk for when he does start finishing in the Top 5 and competing for wins in Cup. On that note, that was one heck of a save he made Sunday. Saw the highlight yesterday of it, he did everything but put it in the fence. Normally a rookie would have managed to put in in the fence but he not only kept it out, he didn't lose a position.

Again who is putting out all the press?Montoya? No
Same with Dale JR. the mags only put out what the people will buy.
Montoya has a huge following and they are very interested in hearing all about what is going on,just like the inane description of "loose and tight" in every telecast, who do you think they do that for?

They do it just to hear themselves talk. You know how DW is, he just likes to hear his "pretty" voice. This is one reason why I like listening to the races on the radio vs watching on TV, MRN does an awesome job of telling us the race instead of going off on tangents. They have to because they don't have the benefit of listeners being able to see what is going on out on the track like TV does. They can afford to go off and talk about something else while the racing is being shown. Don't like PRN as much, maybe it's because I grew up always listening to Barney Hall calling the races with Joe Moore, Allen Bestwick and Eli Gold.

On Stewart's show last night they had Larry McJoke on and they were telling how great he was and how much he has done for the TV coverage,I almost ran my truck straight into the nearest bridge embunkment(sp),no one and I mean no one can butcher the American language like him,GROSS.Then I have to find out that TNT hired him so we don't even get away from him there?GD it!

I like Larry Mac as a person but not as a TV person. Prolly from being a Davey Allison fan. He knows his stuff but I guess ya have to be from the south to understand it. 8) My wife is always asking me, "What did he say??" So I 'splain it to'er an she gits it. Seems like he is always yelling on TV when that is just how he speaks, rather loud.

I miss hearing Bob Jenkins call races. Jerry Punch down on pit road, I'm sorry, DOCTOR Jerry Punch. Ned was a good one too. Ned and Benny would tell you something about a car besides what loose and tight were. They got into some good details and 'splained it without visual aides real good.

I'd like to see Allen Bestwick back in the booth calling races. He is way better than TNT's play-by-play, Bill Weber. Too bad Allen is with ESPN now. The only good for TNT will be seeing Lindsey Czarniak on pit road. She does the local sports here and is just as hot in person as you see on TV. They don't put makeup on her for TV, that's all natural.

Yeah, a 5th ain't too bad  Guess they(the media) can woof about him some now. He got some good practice by running with the big boys, they showed him how it's done. Jeff Gordon got beside him a few times, got real close to him and got him loose as heck. Showed him what it's like racing up front late in the going.

Wild, Davey could drive circles around most anyone today. Boy could flat muscle a car to do what he wanted it to do. He was Jeff Gordon well before Gordon came along. Hate to say it being a Gordon fan, but his talent was better than Gordon's I think. He could have won at least 3 Championships.

I wonder if Jeff would've put up with a lap car racing him that hard and making him loose while trying to run down the leaders?

My guess would be no,and I would love to hear the argument that he would have been "having fun" at that point.

Agreed mike. I've been a Gordon fan since he came into Cup but some of his talk needs to stop. He wants guys to cut him a break but he was really getting after Montoya even though Robby Gordon was fading quickly. He was only racing Robby for the lucky dog and he easily had that battle won, no reason to give Montoya fits. No reason to complain when someone a lap down races you hard late in the going when your going or have been doing the same. All I can do when I hear him say stuff like that is to shake my head even though I'm a fan.

yes, he could! i feel the same way, and IMO i don't think Gordon would have 4, yet.
