So I'm watching this race in California with half empty seats and wondering if it is time NASCAR pulled 1 of their 2 races like they did Rockingham and Darlington. It has been given the same amount of time as those 2 had and has yet to sellout in it's 10 year history. I propose the schedule be completely revamped. 36 races is too long with 2 All-Star races not included there. I propose a schedule that is only 31 races, 33 with the 2 All-Stars. Race all the current tracks once, that's 22 races. Race Daytona twice only because it's the birthplace of Nascar and we should always honor that. 23 races now. Add 1 more road course, either Mexico City or Montreal, that's 24. Now, give dates to:
25: Kentucky
26: Nashville
27: Milwaukee
28: Iowa
29: St. Louis
30: Rockingham
31: Seattle
Make the Chase a 5 race deal, starting with race #27. Talladega, Martinsville or Bristol, Kansas, Homestead and one road course.
The only problem that could happen is the tracks could use this as a reason to jack the ticket prices and all up even more.
