Default LSU fans will look dumb....

when they find out Sunday they ain't going to the Rose Bowl. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2680928

Hellllloooo, the conference champs are picked first, then ND, then everyone else.

    Here is the list:

    1)ACC Champ
    2)Big East Champ
    3)Big 12 Champ
    4)SEC Champ
    5)Big 10 Champ(Michigan may represent)
    6)Pac-10 Champ(USC may represent)
    7)Notre Dame
    8)Boise St.

LSU needs Florida to win the SEC. It would tie LSU with Arkansas with LSU holding the tie-breaker and would put LSU in a BCS bowl. If Florida loses, they hold the tie-break over LSU and would more than likely get the last remaining BCS Bowl spot over LSU. If LSU get a bid, I see them going back to the Sugar or maybe the Orange with the SEC champ going to whichever LSU doesn't go to. They will not match conference teams versus one another again.

You are so wrong about LSU and Arkansas being tied. It is about the BCS rankings and Ar-Kansas fell and LSU is #4! LSU IS playing Notre Dame in Sugar Bowl! You are WRONG, but I am not going to call you dumb like you called the LSU fans(I am a huge LSU fan), just ignorant! GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Did I say YOU were the dumb one, not exactly, unless you were one of those fools who purchased Rose Bowl tickets when it was obvious LSU wasn't going there. I said they may not get a BCS Bowl but if they did, it would not be the Rose.

Sorry bud but check my post again, errrrrr better yet, how about learning how to read THEN checking it again. Arkansas and LSU tied in the final SEC standings, that is true(look it up if you need to), but LSU got the #2 slot in the SEC because they hold the first tiebreaker.

My whole scenario was that Michigan or USC would be in the Title game and Florida would go to the Rose because I believe the Rose Bowl got first pick this year for the 2 teams they wanted and they would take the highest 2 BCS teams available. The rest try to get teams that are within that sites region. Don't be a fool, try reading then comprehending, I wasn't putting LSU down, just the foolish fans who bought tickets to a game that their team ain't in and now have to try to scrounge up tix to the Sugar.

That totally blew yoop. It did not come down to the BCS computers like everyone thought it would. The computers had them tied, the voters were the one's who made the difference. Had Michigan got 14 votes in their favor in the one poll that they lost by 26 votes, they would have been in over Florida.

That's exactly what happened and has been commented on by more than a few people. Many others, some who even voted for Florida, said that had Michigan coaches lobbied for votes like Florida did, they probably would have gotten in.

Bottom line is, the BCS is a joke and is all about who can lobby the best. Look for serious consideration to be given to a playoff system that uses the BCS to help set it up. That would be the ideal result. Right now, it's such a joke that I don't even like watching the games anymore.

That whining reminded me of last year when Mack Brown called up his Big 12 buddies and some of his friends at other schools and made sure they voted the  proper way  for Texas.

The BCS was supposedly created to eliminate the human component, but it turned out to be all about who politics the best. My brother was saying he was listening to an announcer the other day saying "welcome to the sport with the most exciting pre seasons and the absolute most disappointing post seasons."

College football is losing fans and as each year goes by with more and more controversy, more and more leave. I wonder if they'll figure things out before it's too late. :?

Twi, I think football in general is declining. Even the NFL is starting to see problems. I mean when 3/4 of the games each week are like watching grass grow for 2.5-3 hours, something's wrong. The talent is waning in the NFL for the brash, selfish punks who just want money and could careless what they do on the field, ie prima donna's. They are too worried about selling their name or face to sponsor's and cutting TV ads.
