Default California truck laws

What are the c.a.r.b. regulations as far as trucking pulling skateboards? I have so much mixed info. Please inform me, thank you!!!

CARB has nothing to do with open decks. Just tractor/TRU/APU/box trailers.

So I could roll out there theoretically in '77 Mack (don't have just saying) and if pulling skateboard ill have no California emissions crap?

You would have had to file for an exemption/extension until January 2014. Unless you have an older truck that is registered with California CARB, you could be ticketed.

The truck that will be going is actually be 2009 Freightliner Cascadia w/DD15 with DPF.

Thanks gman. I see you post a lot of helpful stuff on here. Thank you. And oh yeah we run paper logs, how is California on that?

You are welcome, sc5952. California doesn't care if you run paper or elogs. Their concerns are with fuel mileage, rolling resistant tires, skirts on vans and engines that are newer or have be retrofitted. I don't know how much they are pushing the low rolling resistant tires. At this point, they seem more concerned with the skirts and engines.
