    Default Overweight

Got an overweight citation in AZ on 10 coming in from Cali. Wasn't over gross (72900) but had forgot to split my rears when I crossed at the Flying J. Well unlike GA, I guess AZ doesn't give you the chance to "make it right" so she gave me a ticket for 4700 over on the rears which comes out to $2605.00. My question would be... having never had an overweight ticket or anyother infraction, has anyone had any success in getting a fine reduced like that. I know some states are even higher, but i don't know where I am going to come up with that money. I admit it is my fault, no doubt there, but I was in shock at the fine, specially since no previous record.

That Ehrenberg scale is a SOB. A few years back, I was overweight there on my trailer. They let me turn 2 cars around and let me go without a ticket. I guess they have changed.
