Default DOT & DEA in Missouri

Got a level one inspection today at the scales in Harrisonville, MO today. Got a ticket for window tint and for not having INTRAstate Authority in Missouri. Had no idea. At least we're not shut down on the spot.

Anyway, after Mr. DOT Officer finishes, (His last name was Steele. Great guy.) this guy who's just hanging around, being friendly, shooting the breeze with me, whips out his ID. Turns out he's DEA. Asks if he can take a few minutes of my time and ask a few questions and have a looksee at the truck and trailer. Sure, no problem. So him and some guy that seemed to appear from the water vapor in the air spend about 10 minutes of their time looking in and outside of the truck. Then they tell me have a nice day!

Sounds like one of them black helicopter stories, don't it?

You must look like a "pothead" or a drug smuggler!

Personally.... I'm glad to know that they are "on the job!" Did they ask you if you'd murdered any lizards lately?
