    ATTN: Marty Tampano, Risk Manager
    Subject: Warning Notice -- Unlicensed Radio Operation
    Dear Mr. Tampano:
    Information before the Commission indicates that two of your drivers were the source of radio transmissions on the Tin can Amateur Radio band (28.115 MHz) on August 11 and 18, 2006 on the route between Alanson and Grand Rapids, MI.
    Please be advised that operation of radio transmitting equipment without a license is a violation of Section 301 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. Monetary forfeitures normally range from $7,500 to $10,000.

    Better do a little homework, Fredog!!

    Those rules apply ONLY to tin can CB's which contain the high polish silver wrapper "Lesuer Peas" which contain"VeryYoung peas with mushrooms!!

    They also must be connected with triple wrapped STRWN Monofilament Fishing Line, and the ONLY time LOE can hassel you is IF DOT or LEO spots the monofilament line with a pair of binoculars

    In the two years that I drove OTR, I've driven millions of miles with my tin can CB's and nobody EVER said anything to me about it!!

    Fredog;
    You REALLY need to do a little more research here.

    There is an EXEMPTION to Tin Can CB radios which were purchased on the second Tuesday of each week during the month of Septober.

    I didn't get where I am by being ignorant.

    Guess you haven't been doing enough reading, DOG!!

    The FCC Nazi's raided the TA Truckstop between Houston and Beaumont, and tried to confiscate the cans of "Jolly Green Giant" green beans; The Federal Marshall was called out, and he told the FCC "Zoot Suits" to get lost;

    Why??

    Because they were NOT Lesuer Brand Very Small Garden Peas with Mushroom bits and pieces!!!!

    I was there when it all happened, I saw it with my own EYES!!

    Even Trooper Mony Dial said the Tin Can CB's were legal!!

    Read a BOOK, DOG!!

    If you even THINK of trying to do that, you are begging for trouble!!

    This is my brother we're talking about. Remember?? He's a SECURITY GUARD!!at an apartment complex!! You mess with him and you'll find out what trouble is!!

    One dude decided that he was going to go for my brothers flashlight.

    Well, that was the WRONG thing to do!!

    My brother pulled out a pen and a notepad, wrote down the guys name, and then gave him a WARNING!!

    I'll bet that dude hasn't had a decent night's worth of sleep since!!

    cclarke:

    Scroll down to the: "And The Survey Says??" Forum Look for the "What Kind or Radio" thread. Read the survey question, vote if you wish, then read my replies and Fredog's replies.
    Then, if your mind is sufficiently warppprd, you might understand what this is all about!!

    I didnt know the stakes were this high I would never mess with a guard who had a flashlight AND a note pad. I will concede to you (for now) but I will NEVER go away!!!!
