    Default Training someone

I have a question regarding New York rules. My company wants me to let another worker drive the truck who has his cdl learner permit. They want me to go with him and basically train him. Is this legal? :!: I hold a class A cdl. If he has an accident does it affect my history? What about a ticket or something? Thanks for the help

    It is legal.

If he is the driver any accident would go on his driving record. Same goes for tickets.

Since he only has a learners permit, you MUST be awake and in the passenger seat the entire time he is driving.

Also if you use a log book, all time that the trainee is driving you must be on line 4, On duty Not driving.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.
