    Default Almost failed a drug test for not being able to piss.....

    I had a close call a few weeks back. Basically I was unable to piss when I got called in for a random... I just managed to make it around 15 minutes before the 3'hr limit on the drug test, by drinking over a gallon of water.

    If I hadn't been so lucky, was I at risk of having anything put on my DAC for simply being unable to piss?

    The company could have placed in your record a refusal to take the test which is the same as a failure.
    Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

    a gallon of water ??? you could of drank just 12oz of beer & pissed much quicker!!!

    That was one advantage to being diabetic. Any time I got popped for a random all I had to do was drink something like a Mt Dew and in an hour or less I could fill a 1/2 gallon jug. :wink:
    Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

    I'm surprised the test didn't come back too diluted because of the water.

    Failing to provide a sufficient amount of urine for a drug test in the 3 hour period doesn't mean the same as a refused to test. There is a set procedure (see Subpart I 40.193) in respect to this problem.
