    Default NY state DOT inspection?

I just bought a tracktor from GA and the dealership gave a dot inspection. My company is based in NY state. Question is: Can I use this inspection in NY state?
Because, I heard some state requared own state inspection.

If you plan on registering the truck in NY you'll need a NYS inspection. If you'll have other plates on it then you do not nee a NYS inspection. However you'll need a NY HUTsticker for your truck. Hope this helps.

Can't help with the NYS inspection stations...but probably any truck stop with a shop should be able to take care of it.

One thought though.... I would get ahold of one of the "permit services" and order the NY HUT permit, and get the temporary faxed to you prior to crossing the NY state line. I'm not sure how they might react if you don't have it when you cross into the state. Last I heard the fine for not having the NY HUT permit was $380.00 or so.....
Forrest Gump was right....and some people literally strive to prove it.....everyday. Strive not to be one of "them".... And "lemmings" are a dime a dozen!

Remember: The "truth WILL set you free"! If it doesn't "set you free"....."it will trap you in the cesspool of your own design".

They lost my original "avatar"....oh well.
