    Default D.O.T. question

I was asked this several times and i am wondering about it.

When i was calling about some driving jobs, i was asked to produce D.O.T.?

i asked what they meant about D.O.T., they said D.O.T.?

Then i asked if they meant D.O.T. Long Form or the D.O.T. Short Form Physical, they said again, D.O.T.?

What the hell is a D.O.T.? do company drivers need to contact the D.O.T. for what? I am clueless when someone says D.O.T.

Never ran into that one myself.

The only thing I can possibly think of would be a 10 year work history and a Long form physical.

IMHO if the "company" can not explain what it is wanting then it is probably so screwed up you would want to work there anyway.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

Have absolutely no idea what they're talking about.
Only thing I can guess is your DOT Physical.
They want a copy of your CDL??

I appreciate the replies on this matter.

I had a feeling they were asking for my D.O.T. Long Form Physical.

It sounded really strange that they would ask for D.O.T. and not specify what they were wanting.

They likely had no clue what they were asking for either.
