    That is assuming the company will apply for one. Many companies won't. You can't get one unless you have your own authority.

    yes I can tell you the CA DOT OFFICER told my wife today it's $2,000.00 USD.

    The fine for runnin a Cali scale is ~$400 + any other things they wanna bend you over for because you pissed them off. Moral of the story... don't run a scale
