Steve brought up an excellent point. If this is a DOT drug screen, how is it that he isnt at a doctor's office getting it done? Sinse when did they just give ya all the stuff to do the drug screen, and ya bring it back to the doctor's office when ya get done? You have to have your driver's lisence when you go up there anyway. If it isnt a DOT drug screen, and if its for Joe Blow's cafe, then,it may be done some other way,but if,and being a DOT drug screen,I dunno. It sounds fishy to me.

If he does it on weekends he's likely to take a few buds on the road to "get him by" until next weekend. When a person is tested and found to be positive it's proving that he is a drug user not just a weekender. Illegal drug use in not tolerated in this industry ANYTIME!

you can't tell if it was from a man or female.

only if the female donor is pregnant, then hormones are detectable in the urine. (wife's an RN). Also a random test requires you to produce a sample within a maximum of 4 hours. Anything over 4 hours constitutes a refusal. Also DOT does require a photo ID and to empty all possessions out prior to the test. A simple email to the Feds might just be all this "company" needs to be put out of business...

I know this is a fairly old thread but here goes anyway. First off, I am a nurse and can attest to the fact that it is possible to get a urine specimen from a willing donor and use it as your own. I've seen nurses abuse the very drugs that they were trusted to give to the pts and get away with it time and time again. In the end, they always end up hanging themselves and usually at the expense of others.
One nurse inparticular that I can remember used to get her daughter to give her a specimen and she'd then keep it in a double ziplock bag against her body until she was tested. She always managed to pass the drug test. I've seen places that test the temperature of the urine and some that don't. I've also seen places that make you give the specimen in front of the ones giving the test. No privacy at all! That definitely leaves no room for anyone with half a mind to attempt cheating on a drug test.
People drive crazy enough these days without taking drugs, throw in a few drugs and you've really got a mess!

I think by DOT Law with testing the Temperature has to be taken and written down and then Sealed.

Yeah. DOT requires that a temptature is to be taken. Among the driver's license, and signature on everything.

Man...i cant believe the chick didnt report him or let someone here report him. If you are still reading this thread, If in the future something terrible happens and your BIL kills someone....go ahead and take some of the blame yourself. You could have stopped it. Sorry the "hes family" excuse doesnt work. Him being family should make you want to report him more.

I still come on here. No I didn't report him. I do not think that he should be doing drugs and driving the truck but he has a record of DUI's and dirty drug tests so I feel that it is on the employer to make sure that they hire clean drivers. The employer knew upfront about his record, I am sure that is why the gave him the heads up in advance about the drug test.

Why would I be held liable? No one in my family gave him the clean urine. I don't know where he had to gave the sample at. He was suppose to pee in the office but noone search him or watched him preform the UA at the Dr. office.

My only hope is now he is in a relationship so maybe he will grow up and straighten himself out. Someone else could of reported him, I wouldn't of cared at all.

Why? Because you KNOW the Jerk uses drugs. I suppose with you that if He killed somebody because you didn't say something you wouldn't feel Guilty?

You can't save the world. It isn't my job to police truck drivers (only my husband) with what they are doing. That I believe is up to the companies that hire the losers and how dot does it's drug tests.

How many 4 wheelers are driving out there high? We live a clean life but alot of people don't. I don't like the idea of people driving high any more than you do because my husband is out there too.

I don't get involved in my BIL's life, I don't need the drama.
