eh.. i dont know about the 387 but my dad's 94 T800 is/was 10x's tighter then my 04 columbia. his 98 379 pete is tighter then the t800. however, i like my freightliner a lot. and would def. consider another one. i'd love to drive a cascadia to see what its all about. what motor did the cascadia have? DD15 or a series 60? i dont know about the DD15 but i know the older s60's had egr problems but decent on fuel.

I've driven three different Pete 387's all auto's which are hard to find and found all of'em to have just a better..sturdy..more solid...dont know how to describe it being a greenhorn with trucks. But they just rode better...looked better & ran better or smoother. The other deciding factor is bringing it in for service...its going to more costly to have any dealer work on it.
The 08 Pete has cummins ISX 450hp auto, 3:42 rears 440K miles and is $67K...I can buy it for $60-62k...Truck sales are really bad right now and they'll do whatever to make a deal.
The Freight liner is a 2010 Cascadia...DD15 with 3:36 rears and is $ 67K also...buy it for $62K ...It rode realy nice as well ...but just didnt have the same feel..?
Both dealers offer a extended warranty $1200 for 300K Miles on top of the MFR warranty thats still in effect for both trucks till 500K. Both dealers are about the same distance from my home.
"EGR" is probably the only variable...both guys mentioned that this is a problem down the road....unless I can find a pre-emission 03 of any Mfg with decent mileage...?
Appreciate your comments...Keep'em coming !
