Thread: ecowind apu.

    Default ecowind apu.

    anyone know anything about these. i was getting fuel today and i saw a pete with a small apu on it. took a closer look it was a ecowind. this thing was just as quiet if not quieter then a tripac. also smaller like the kholer apu. so.. anyone have any input on it?

    never heard of it. heard of rig master = junk master and i don't think there no longer in bussiness. and carrier and the HP 2000 and the tri pak wich seems to be the best seller of em all

    My only experience is with TriPac and we currently have about 8000 hrs./unit without any problem other than one cooling fan replacement. I think that speaks for itself.

    i like the tri paks there quiet reliable things happen and things wear out. although iv'e was quoted 17 grand for a tri pack with everything but not the extended warranty seems kinda steep but it will pay for itself in time.

    if everything goes right my tripak will be on my truck next week. $10k out the door.

    Congratz and is that with everthing or just the base package firebird? I was qouted 17 grand for the entire system iv'e been reading that a lot of drivers are getting em cheaper.

    The reason they are quiet is the engine is turning slower 2400 RPM than the others (3600 RPM)

    Lombardini diesels are very reliable and have been around for years, Star Class sleepers use them in their apu

    Thanks manic I see it's a whole different unit from the tri pac wich is what I was thinking ofm I'll check it out. The only other cheap one I know of is the hp2000 and I was told to avoid that unit
