really, in 2003 when i started with SNI, I avg 12mpg bobtailing..... and my FLD got 14mpg bobtail at 60mph up I-57 for 400 miles.

I do have the same specs, the same T6 only C-15, if i ran empty, or with 4-5,000lb at 62 mph, i could get 8-8.5 mpg. Running CAT Acert at 70 mph (1500 RPM at his specs with 24.5 rubber, little over that with 22.5) it's virtually imposable to get that mileage.
Pessimist,- is just well informed optimist!

LMAO!!!! So true.... last time I saw him was 3 weeks ago and he told me that he was getting close to 10mpg. Seeing I was knocking down almost 9mpg in my flat-top w/3.90's it sounded like it was poss to me. I know when I told people what I was getting, they didn't believe me either tho, but I did mine from the pump for 6mos and it was always between 8.5-9mpg until it got cold out and I started idling all night, then it went to 7.5-7.8

LOL, that's when we were there; one year starting in June. As a team we would have some long bobtails and in three trucks we didn't consistently see double digits.

I probabaly crossed your path a few times. I started running out of the Wal-Mart DC in Garrett, IN and I was assigned a old red Crete Century.... maybe that had something to do with it?

I held on to that old Crete truck as long as I could (only was a company driver for 9mos) because it would only go 65mph on the pedal but you could bump the cruise up to 80mph LOL

How's the new truck working out for you? Looks great and its got to be more comfy on the road than the FLD.

It's a very nice change. Lots more room, rides a million times better, and gets good MPG.......so far so good!
