    Default What Truck and MPG do you have?

    Thought this might help me better on chosing another truck. Could you let me know

    What Kind Of Truck,
    Engine Name & HP
    Trans
    Rears
    Size Tires
    What you normally haul Van, FB etc.. Heavy or light loads
    Avg mpg

    I understand it can be better or worse depending on conditions, just trying to get beter understanding of what does get better mpg avg.

    What Kind Of Truck - 2010 Volvo 780 w/ DPF
    Engine Name & HP - 475hp D13 (pretty sure...)
    Trans - Eaton Fuller
    Rears - Unsure to be honest.. will update when we stop moving
    Size Tires - 22.5 Michelan LP
    What you normally haul Van, FB etc.. Heavy or light loads - Dry/Refrigerated. Normally extremly heavy (44k+) with crappy spring ride trailers.. we feel like we're dragging them more than we are pulling them
    Avg mpg - Last pull of the ECM was 6.5. My figure was a 6.3. Mostly run the midwest and Phoenix.

    What Kind Of Truck: 1998 T800
    Engine Name & HP: 10.7 L Cummins M11
    Trans: Eaton Fuller 13 speed OD
    Rears: 4.33
    Size Tires: 295R22.5
    What you normally haul Van, FB etc.. Heavy or light loads: Steps and double drops grossing 75-85K southbound and usually (but not always) grossing 30-35 northbound.
    Avg mpg: low 7's on summer fuel

    I drive 60 - 62 mph in the northeast.

    What Kind Of Truck: 2004 International
    Engine Name & HP: Dyno-tuned CAT C15 Acert 550 HP 2,050 lb-ft torque (free flow muffler; no ACERT b/s)
    Trans: Eaton 13 speed, LIPE clutch 1850 lb-ft torque rating; tranny rebuilt for higher torque
    Rears: 3.42 (rebuilt from the original 3.73)
    Size Tires: 295/75R22.5
    What I normally haul: 48 ft stepdeck with a closed 61" tandem; loads vary but I always try to get something under 40,000 lbs if possible; the last load was 24,000 lbs, the current one is 39,000 lbs
    Best mileage, empty, summer: 8.4 MPG (US), cruising at 60 MPH
    Worst mileage, 24,000 lb load, winter, Northern Ontario, -34F: 4 MPG
    Average: 6.5 MPG

    Standard cruising RPM: 1,300
    Standard cruising speed: 60-61 MPH
    Cruise control on? 99.999%

    What Kind Of Truck - 2009 Int Prostar
    Engine Name & HP - 450hp Cummins ISX w/DPF
    Trans - Eaton Fuller 13 OD manual
    Rears - Unsure, 1500rpm @ 65mph
    Size Tires - 11R22.5 Michelin
    What you normally haul Van, FB etc.. Heavy or light loads - Dry van/Refrigerated. Normally gross 80K
    Avg mpg - Average 6, better in south with summer fuel, worse in winter / winter fuel

    Engine Name & HP : C15 Cat 475 hp
    Trans : 13
    Rears : 3:70
    Size Tires : 22.5
    What you normally haul Van, FB etc.. Heavy or light loads : 53' Van 60,000- 80,000 lbs Gross
    Avg mpg : Average for the year 2010 was 6.2 MPG US

    Truck has a 290 inch WB so I push a lot of wind. Run at 58-60 MPH.
