I'm with QC.... have been for a year now, but I am on a dedicated gig so my pay doesn't reflect the other drivers.

There is NOWAY in hell I would ever post my financial earnings tho, **** could come back to bit you in the ass if you ever get audited.

Lets just say I wish I would have switched over to this years ago. I have made more $$ doing tanker than I have ever pulling a van or flat, but then again I am on a dedicated run with 5 a month at a set rate and the product is SUPER light so i basically haul an empty trailer back n forth

There is a guy over at the truckers report posting his earnings. He just left Superior for QC. Kentucky24 is his user name.

I was leased to QC for 3 months and I could have parked my truck for that time and came out better off
If you go there be SURE you are with the company and not an affiliate, after QC skims off the top and the affiliate takes his cut there isnt much left

I'm not sure how that happened to you Fredog...... you must have applied and hired on thru the terminal or something. I applied thru corporate in Tampa and thats who I am with tho I operate out of Trans Tech in Columbus, my pay is thru QC and such. Do u by chance remember if your tractor number had a letter in it?

no ,no letter, the way it happened was simple , the recruiter was a liar, I found out when I got to Juliette that I was leased to an affiliate, it was too late then. anyway their rates are too cheap. we were on a haul the last 3 weeks with 4 other carriers, QC being one of them, I compared notes with a couple of owner operators, and I was making 400 bucks a load more than they were, I know it's possible to make it with QC, I have talked to a couple who are doing fine, but I've also talked to many who lost their ass. if it's working for you, great, I wish you much success

Well thank you. And I think the only thing that is helping me along is the fact I am dedicated to 5 runs a month, at a set rate, and I don't have a truck payment.

they love to micro mange you, so be sure you can handle playing by the rules, I got written up one time for averaging 60.1 mph!! they say you cant average over 60 no matter what. even though the company speed limit is 65 and you can run for hours in Arizona and New Mexico without ever slowing down, they still say you cant average over 60

Yeah, that's true... but you also don't have any type of tracking, so I just show 659 miles at the end of every 11hrs. They have no idea where I was at anyways between Chicago and Corpus Christi since I only fuel in Chicago and then again in Corpus and I pay cash for all my meals and such.

What area did you work Fredog, I'm guessing Georgia??? I have spoken to guys in GA, AL, FL, TX, LA and AR and all have a tough time making making money. It is the complete opposite where in Chicago area. We have so much freight that we have given some of it to Superior and Lakeland. I do know the loads coming out of Chicago going to TX pay more than the TX to Chicago and also you do have to be careful what terminal you are with. My manager has had 6 guys who live in TX and FL try to come on over to him cuz the pay for the same loads is MORE thru my terminal than their guys can get it for???? Guess it just has to do with location.

My run pays me close to $5.00 per mile loaded and I come back empty so i avg about $2.45-$2.50 for all my miles, plus they pay me .50cpm to bobtail 180 miles home after every run, and then 180miles again back to pu my next load.

I guess it's just the luck of the draw. I managed to come in at the right time and get what I did

yep, I live in Georgia and worked out of Chattanooga, there was plenty of freight and miles, they just screwed me out of my money and they DO have tracking, Sue from Tampa called me in when she was in Chattanooga and pulled out my log sheets and the satellite records from the skybits they have on every trailer and they didnt come close to matching (they said they would never use this to track you, only to keep track of the tanks, another one of their many lies ) they also have gps tracking on the blackberrys... she said if it happened again, I would be suspended, I told her if that happened, they would never see me again, she said I could have another chance, she never threatened suspension again, but every month she had some nit picky complaint about my logs
