I'm gonna head on up to Dallas after I deliver wednesday in Corpus and was just wondering if anyone else planned on going?
I've never been to the GATS. I'd like to go, but it seems like something comes up every year.
I wish I could but not this year. I didn't make to MATS either, I enjoyed that a couple years ago and I am trying to get back. One year I'd like to do MATS, GATS, and the one in Vegas (can't remember the name) VATS maybe.
Have fun and take some pics for us.
I live in NW Indiana so I go to MATS with my father every year. This will be the first time for me going to the Dallas show. I run dedicated from Chicago to Seadrift, TX every week and figured since I have an extra 2 days off this coming weekend I might as well make the extra trek and go to the show.
I pre registered. I am not sure that I will be able to go. It seems that I have had a difficult time getting out the last several years. Hopefully, I will be able to work something out so that I can attend.
Anyone who's been both, which one is bigger MATS or GATS? Just wondering.
I tell you what I'd like to find is a huge antique truck show to go to. If anyone knows of one post it.
Nah, I may like some of the rest, but I like my truck BEST.
Besides, companies pay a fancy truck no more per mile than a POS one! There is no point to having other than a plain Jane workhorse.![]()
I can only speak for MATS but it's more than just a fancy truck show, that's what I like about it.
or what's left of it anyways........Nah, I may like some of the rest, but I like my truck BEST.![]()
MATS is a industry show more or less, not so many show trucks due to the time of year it held.
GATS is for the truck show. Last year there were a good 150 trucks showing. Weather is nicer and it's more centrally located for all the midwest/west-coast/east-coast guys.
That would have to be the BIG IRON CLASSIC up in Kasson, MN
This year it's Sept 10th-11th
It's a crazy festival with show trucks, vendors, truck pulls and everything a trucker could want. I wont be able to go this year due to my dedicated account now, but if you can make it, it's well worth the trip!!!!!
BIG IRON CLASSIC: Largest Midwest Semi Truck Show and Charity Drive
Thanks for the info SHC.
No cost.
MATS is bigger by a ways, but GATS has been growing pretty fast.
Where can i find the Great American Dispatcher Show?????![]()

Unfortunatley there has been a change in plans..... I wont be going due to production pick-up at the plant. So now I'm running 2 loads this week....... good news is business is BOOMING, bad news is it's 4,500 miles in 1 week UGH!!!!
There is no charge if you pre register. I don't know whether there is a charge when you just walk in to the show. I would go online and check to be sure. It is certainly quicker when you pre register. Even if there is a charge, it is worth the money to see what is on display. You are pretty close. It is well worth the time to attend. Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it this year. I am on my way back home and don't have enough time to get there for the show. I got hung up in the northeast.
