I ran through an ezpass lane in NJ one time, and sure enough a picture of my plate with a bill and $35 fine was issed.

The last unmanned "toss your change" was in SW PA, and it said only 1's and 5's. I only had $20's and there were no manned lanes at all. I tossed in what I had, and left.

BTW, I was told the camera is "enabled" after the change count/before the change count. If you toss in a large handfull of the smallest coin possible, it will not flast while its counting. Who knows.

As a few people managed to figure out, I was talking about EZ-Pass in NY. The OP was about toll booths in general, so my reply was on topic. Just because "Chicago has a lot", doesn't mean Lowrange wasn't interested in toll booths in other states.
