Can't really say anything, but something tells me that's gonna be a risky move, especially with that mileage.
I'd stick with something more "conventional", no personal experience with it...
Pessimist,- is just well informed optimist!
04 is when Freightliner started using the new & improved Mercedes Benz truck engine. Really...at that mileage... your not going to be hurt.
Have a dyno done on it.

We have some Sterlings with that Mercedes engine in them and they seem to be OK. Most have 700K-1M+ miles on them and they get beat on far more than most do. They also seem to get decent fuel mileage and to be in a ******* Sterling they are very quiet as well...
I have read they get great m.p.g. and the only downside is the pulling power is not the best. I do know that w.w. williams detroit is certified to work on them. though they may be new to other shops. If I had one I would not let just anyone work on it.
