Default How many do local work as o/o?

There may be some changes takin place around my place (you know...female) I'm just curious as to how many of you o/o's do local work? What kind of customers should I be looking for?

I've tried the dump truck business in our area and it pretty much sux, so I'm looking for other options.

I wouldn't have to be home every night. Weekends at least and hopefully a night or 2 during the week would suffice. I live within a couple hours of Memphis and also a couple hours of the steel mills over by Blytheville, AR. Any suggestions?

Could I get through the house on the weekends if I were leased to Landstar or such? All options including getting my own authority would be open at this point.

    Thanks, Arky

Have you checked what the local market is carrying right now in trucks?

Lot's of guy's out there running local. The bulk of them are running rag-tag trucks.

If you are serious about leasing..talk with Oakley right there in Little rock..see what they have to offer. I know they have a ton of local stuff in your neck of the woods.
