I was getting loaded yesterday in Indiana and saw this sign near the shipper's door: "THE EXTRA MILE IS PART OF OUR ROUTE." Looks like they EXPECT truckers to go the extra mile, which defeats the whole idea of 'going the extra mile" - doing something beyond what is expected of you.Which means, if I do go an extra mile and do something the shipper doesn't expect (SURPRISE!!!), that'd be 2 (two) extra miles that pay nothing :P
