So I got fed up with those $5 POS Flying J replacement wipers. Stopped at Kragen's in Fallon NV. and sprung $40 for a pair of Bosch top of the line wipers.
Man- What a difference! I actually enjoy driving in weather now. Highly recommended...

I tried a bunch of wipers including the expensive ones until I found that the RainX ones worked best for me. I think you need to experiment with different brands until you find the ones that work the best given the curvature of your windshield, tension and how the different brands of wipers work for your particular configuration.
I also found that I can go up to a 26" wiper but they were too long and chattered on the return run. I went down to 20" and those are perfect for me. The longer the wiper the less support they have.
The Bosch wipers are mounted in a flexible composite frame. Chatter was completely eliminated, and they seem to handle dirt film and ice better. It's easy to overlook wiper performance because it's something you overlook and don't really give any thought to.
I replace my wipers about every 3 weeks. I also use RainX which is incredible. Especially at night when it's raining. No wipers needed at all.
I'll give those Bosch wipers a try next time around. Are they a certain model?
Don't know the model, Steve. Bought a pair of 18 inchers at $19.99 each. Right of the shelf.
Steve if I pay the postage will you send me all your 3 week old wipers???!!!! That's almost as bad as cleaning your sleeper with masking tape! I'm trying to kid here but it always doesn't come through the key board.LOL
Mike
Rain X also has wiper blades. Very good quality

Mud, sweat, and gears
Steve, I went to Wal-mart and bought this vacuum cleaner for the truck, http://www.amazon.com/Dirt-Devil-M08...335515&sr=8-37 but I came across the customer reviews for it and they were horrible. So I returned it to wal-mart before I even opened it and ordered this one which has excellent customer reviews, http://www.amazon.com/Eureka-71A-Han...335515&sr=8-37 I just got home to pick it up so I haven't been able to use it myself. 8) 8)Originally Posted by SteveBooth
Let me know how it works TK. I have 110 in the truck so I'm trying to find some small kick butt vacuum but can't seem to find one. So once again I sit on the floor with my masking tape lint roller!
Check out www.Silblade.com. I also got tired of buying blades every few months, put these on about a year ago and am satisfied. Kinda' pricey though.
When you're good, your work will brag for you
Reflex wipers are great too. If you raise them from the windshield they look like a bow, which means they stick to the glass real tight. Also, there's no frame (almost) which makes it hard for ice to build up on them. I got them in Ontario at a Canadian Tire but I'm pretty sure they should be available in the USA as well. Highly recommended! 1 wiper costs about 20 bucks.
