The tripac doesn't provide much power though.

I have a Rigmaster, had to replace the muffler and the flex exhaust manifold. Other than that no problems. Rigmaster is working on a newer exhaust system to quiet it them down to below 80dB while under A/C load

It has it's own AC compressor, 13,000 btu's, should be more then enough.

It comes with an espar air heater, instead of the generator making the heat to heat the cabin. The espars are very efficient.

To keep the engine warm, the tripac is hooked up to the cooling system.

All it has for power is 12 volts, 65 amps, which is 780 watts if you do the math.

But it is REALLY efficient, only comes on when needed

allen it looks like the tri pac provides more power then the comfort guard. when I check the webside for comfort guard it says the alternator is 40 amps and rig master is 60amps so it looks like it has more power then the other 2 units..

But it is REALLY efficient, only comes on when needed

Yes, but you're talking about 12 VDC.

The thermoking produces ZERO 120 VAC.

So you're restricted to a mere 780 watts with the tripac unit. Any more and you start draining batteries.

The other 2 units produce their own 120 VAC, as well as 12 VDC.

So with the tri pac if I still decided to use this unit I would need a powerful inverter connectted to maybe dry cell batteries and once the power is used up the tri pac would recharge them. could this setup work?

Here is an article on them...I read it in a trucking magazine and just found it online as well.....the cummins unit had its warranty backed service interval changed from 500 hours up to 1000 hours...i am sure this will be a big selling point for it.
